OUR MISSION
WHAT WE DO
OUR COMMUNITY

The Kern River United Methodist Church promotes the peace of Christ as an inviting, affirming, and nourishing faith community that is open and inclusive.

We reach out through relevant and compelling actions to serve, support, and share with our neighbors in the local community and worldwide.

Our community is made up of people like you.  We share the love of the Kern River Valley, and embrace the community we serve.

ABOUT US

Welcome to the Kern River United Methodist Church, where the River of God’s love runs deep and wide.

The congregations of Highland Chapel and Kernville United Methodist Churches have been serving Christ in our community since 1870 , are the oldest established churches in the Kern River Valley. We continue to reach out to those seeking a faith home for themselves and their families. We believe our church is a growing family - growing in numbers, growing in spirit and growing in service.

Our Methodist Ladies Tea Time, which gathers in the church social hall on the second Thursday of the month.  We hope you will come and join us!

We have pickle ball courts and yoga classes for the  community.
